Meet Your Doula Chelsea (she/her/ella)

I am a cis-gender, heterosexual afro-latina + dominican woman born, raised and still living in my beloved community of Washington Heights, NYC.

I believe pregnancy and all the outcomes it may lead to (safe baby birth, miscarriage, etc.) is one of the most transformative of human experiences and my purpose is to support birthing people through these moments.

I also believe that advocating for and providing access to an informed and self-determined birthing experience is important for everyone, but particularly birthing people in the Black, Indigenous and Latinx community, who disproportionately experience the consequences of systemic racism and white supremacy.

I completed my reproductive justice centered doula training with Chanel Porchia-Albert at Ancient Song Doula Services and is currently a mentee in the inaugural cohort of the Conscious Birth Collective Mentorship Program.

I also have a Masters in Social-Organizational Psychology from Columbia University that I use in my work as a learning & development consultant. My work in leadership development and training as a certified executive coach has sharpened my ability to meet people where they are, listen deeply to their needs and tap into their innate potential for flourishing.

I see my work as a doula as just one of the many ways in which I can continue to live my purpose in supporting as many as I can in their journeys of enjoying and growing through this one and precious life.

Contact me if you’re interested in a free consultation for full-spectrum doula services, including grief support, in either Spanish or English and are located in uptown Manhattan / Harlem, the Bronx or Queens.

Queens.
